Film Festival!

Our second annual film festival has already begun with a maxed out screening of Queen of the Sun on January 24! We are so grateful for having a fabulous panel - Jacqueline Freeman, Heather Lehman, and Sally Fisher truly helped make the night a great success! Be sure to arrive at 6pm to guarantee a seat for our next screening, Dirt! The Movie. We are hosting the film festival at the Downtown Vancouver Public Library, in their lovely Columbia Room. We will provide FREE food, a FREE movie, and a discussion to follow. The film nights will go from 6pm - 9pm. Mark your calendars for this year's dates!

  • January 24 - Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us?
  • February 28 - Dirt! The Movie
  • March 27 - Dive!
  • April 24 - Bag It
  • May 22 - No Impact Man
  • June 26 - Good Food
We hope to see you all there!

Thank you for a great MLK Day planting!

On January 16, 2012 Vancouver Watersheds Alliance, in partnership with the City of Vancouver Greenway and Sensitive Lands team, hosted a planting to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day. "Unity within the Community" was held at Fort Vancouver High School. We had 220 volunteers from Fort Vancouver High School, Martin Luther King Elementary School, Kaiser Permanente, and Hands On Portland who planted 7,720 trees and shrubs! It was a great event for everyone involved!
